My First Post

My First Post

December 22nd, 2025 - The year is almost over, and it's time to think about where we've been and where we want to go. I decided earlier this year - even before I started school - that personal branding was important to me.

Why? It's not that I plan to start a podcast, become an influencer, or chase clout and subscribers. It really boils down to one thing - today's internet is driven by content. I want a career in product management - an inherently creative role in which vision and execution are valued in equal measure. I can't be successful if I am merely consuming what others produce; I must also contribute.

I am not totally sure what I will publish on this website, since I'm still refining my personal brand. At the start, I will try to stay eclectic and publish frequently - I can always go back later and modify or delete what doesn't belong. This website is hosted on my personal AWS account, so I have full control over how it's configured. I will do my best to keep it online and safe.

Here are some of the things you might see on the feed (no promises):
- Coding projects I'm working on, like games, demos, and sites.
- Art like drawings, doodles, or short stories
- Personal stories from my life, studies, and travels

Here's what you probably won't see me posting (again, no promises):
- Clickbait, listicles, or short-form video content
- Boring business showboating, like what that guy always posts on LinkedIn
- AI slop (I use AI every day, but I won't skimp on genuine creative effort)

Dear reader, at this time I will not ask you to subscribe to any newsletter. You probably get enough emails. But I hope that you're willing to stay with me on this journey. I've long been deeply inspired by people who maintain their own websites and share their eccentricities and profound thoughts - webcomics, like Randall Munroe's xkcd and Zach Weinersmith's SMBC, independent video games like orteil's Cookie Clicker, and more. Today I join those hallowed ranks, the slim echelon of people who own their own website and write stuff.
